A global community for the future of Decision Science.
We believe that in today’s turbulent and rapidly changing world, traditional decision-making skills are no longer enough to handle unprecedented complexity and instability. A new approach to navigate uncertainty effectively is essential.
We create an international community of collaboration and learning, where researchers, professionals, industry leaders and institutions co-design innovative decision-making models and connect scientific research with practical, real-world applications.
We are a nonprofit organization that helps organizations become more adaptive, aware and resilient in the face of uncertainty.
The Decision Science Alliance joins as a co-organizer of the ODS 2025 (Optimization and Decision Science Conference), held in September in Milan and promoted by AIRO (Italian Association of Operations Research).
The Alliance presents its international community to Regione Lombardia, inviting public institutions to actively participate in the collaborative ecosystem—recognizing that decision science can be a key enabler for more informed, transparent, and adaptive public decision-making.
The third edition of the International Summer Conference hosted in Catania, in collaboration with the University of Catania.
The second edition of the International Summer Conference hosted in Valencia, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
The first edition of the International Summer Conference2023, a flagship event of the Decision Science Alliance, launched and hosted by the University of Milan.
The Decision Science Alliance was founded in Lugano, Switzerland, by a group of academics and entrepreneurs.
The Decision Science Forum, held at IULM University in Milan, was organized by Raffaele Maccioni and promoted by Actor. It marked the first real attempt to build a community and raise awareness around operations research and decision science.
