What will you learn?

These two masterclasses aim to explore the conceptual differences between data-driven decision methods (machine learning, data analysis, statistics, data science, etc.) and decision-making methods based on mathematical models of decision problems. Internationally renowned academics will explain why the two approaches differ, which types of decision problems each is best suited for, their strengths and limitations, and how to combine them effectively to maximize their benefits.

The sessions will also feature two case studies presented by leading companies that apply both methods daily to deliver decision support across various industries.

Each masterclass concludes with a networking dinner together with the participants, speakers, and the DSA board (Raffaele Maccioni, Luca Lisci, and Giovanni Righini).
